The SOTON NAVS student group is committed to building what we hope and pray will be a genuine sense of community. To that end we see the value in spending time together as a group outside of our weekly meetings.

This might take the form of a structured weekend away, our annual Christmas meal, summer mission trips or training conferences etc or it maybe just socialising together, going to the pub together or watching a film together and so on.

During my Connect year I saw that God provided for me financially. I learnt more about God, the book of Romans and British culture. I learnt that God is always good whether it feels that way or not. He was an ever present help in trouble and this year just taught me how to cast my cares upon him. I learnt that I am a daughter. I learnt that God looks at the posture of our hearts and sincerity was important. Connect helped me as a person focus more on the things that really matter in life. It’s always a privilege to serve Jesus. Kashimana (Connect Worker 09-10)
