A vision for the world, a heart for the individual...We want to say a huge welcome to any new Southampton Freshers arriving in this Autumn. You are most welcome to surf our online pages and see what is happening with SOTON NAVS this academic year. By way of introduction we will try to give you a flavour of what is happening and what we are about right here...
You can read more about the NAVS and their role in Southampton by clicking on "Who we are" on the main homepage but essentially we are a student group that exists to help students become wholehearted disciples of Jesus Christ.
The term will kick off in Freshers week during which we will be present at the Clubs and Societies Bunfight at the University Sports Hall on Highfield Campus (Wednesday 28th September). We would love to meet you if you are there.
We will also be meeting on Thursday evenings to kick off our Bible study series for the term on 1&2 Peter which will run every week until just after Christmas. We will also be running groups on Monday evenings for those just wanting to ask spiritual questions about faith and Christianity. All of our groups happen in our family home and usually come with great food, fun and interaction with others.
At the midpoint of term (from Fri 4th - Sun 6th November 2011) we will be heading off to the Isle of Wight for our annual weekend away at Totland Bay Youth Hostel. For more details of the term programme click on the Autumn term planner.
We very much look forward to meeting you and helping and supporting you in any way that we can this year. Feel free to click on the links around the edge of this page to see a little more about what has been happening in the group over the last year including mission trips to Norway & Latvia and opportunities to get involved.
